Join ChannelWelcome to Day 9! Today's run brought a very interesting technical lesson about wearable tech and urban environments. I completed a very solid 7.54 km effort, maintaining a consistent heart rate and cementing my aerobic base nicely. However, my Samsung Galaxy Watch decided to log a phantom 11.68 km! Running on a short track surrounded by tall buildings caused what’s known as "GPS drift" or "multipath errors", leading the Samsung watch to wildly inflate the distance. Thankfully, my trusty Fitbit Inspire 2 was not fooled and correctly captured the true 7.54 km distance, reminding me why I rely on it for consistent tracking in this tricky environment.
My sleep last night slipped a bit. Spending 4 hours and 53 minutes in bed yielded a "Fair" Sleep Score of 63, and an actual sleep time of just 4 hours and 20 minutes. My sleep latency—how fast I fell asleep—was "Excellent" (probably from exhausting myself the day before!), but the overall quantity is screaming for my attention. Consistency remains highly elusive, and the app is nudging me hard toward a strict 11:00 pm bedtime tonight to get back on target.
Nutritionally, I had an awesome balance. Against a budget of 1,950 kcal, I clocked in at 1,988 kcal, putting me at a sweet near-perfect total limit. Due to the high mileage, my carbohydrate intake appropriately peaked at 292.8 grams, while maintaining 83.7g of protein and 33g of fiber. I'm prioritizing replenishing my glycogen stores, and it felt like my meals were put to work during that longer effort!
