"Everyone knows how to reduce weight — eat less and exercise more. But it becomes very difficult when you are not measuring it."

The Plan

The 10k Run Challenge proved one thing to me: when you measure, you move. Now that the race is done, I'm carrying that same discipline into the next challenge — getting from 72.9 kg to 70 kg by June 2026.

This isn't a crash diet. It's a systematic reduction built on the principle that a 600-calorie daily deficit reliably produces roughly 600g of weight loss per week. With a starting weight of 72.9 kg and 2.9 kg to shed, that's about five weeks of work — but I'm giving myself until June to do it right, not fast.

Caloric intake stays at a comfortable 1,950 cal/day. The deficit comes from activity, not starvation. HealthifyMe tracks every meal, every calorie — because the measurement is the method.

The Strategy

Caloric Target

1,950 calories per day — a level I can sustain without feeling deprived. Consistency beats intensity every time.

The Deficit

A 600-calorie daily deficit, driven by exercise rather than food restriction. Burning more, not eating less.

Tracking: HealthifyMe

Every meal logged in HealthifyMe for precise caloric and macronutrient visibility. No guessing, no approximations.

Daily Reels

Sharing exercise and diet updates through short daily reels — accountability built in public.

Weekly Check-ins

Weight reported every week. Trend matters more than any single day reading.

Progress Updates

Weekly check-ins and daily logs will appear here as the project unfolds.

Challenge starts April 27, 2026. First weekly check-in coming soon.
